Data Protection and Privacy
Everything that explains how our school is run, in one place to read or download.
As a school we have access to what is called personal data which relates to both you, as parents, and your children.
How School Uses Your Data
We manage this data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988 and also the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). This new legislation came in to effect on 25th May 2018 and there is a leaflet attached to this message which gives you an overview of what it is.
All of our policies are in the policy section but if you need any more information please do not hesitate to contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO) Mrs. C Hastings on the school number or by emailing bursar@weeton-st-michaels.lancs.sch.uk.
As a school we work closely with the NHS and Lancashire County Council to deliver the best health outcomes for our children. Attached is the LCC privacy notice for the sharing of information that is necessary to facilitate programmes such as height and weight checks, eyesight and hearing tests as well as flu vaccination.
