Wonder of Weeton 'WOW' Curriculum

At Weeton St Michael's, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide an enriching and exciting learning journey for every child. We follow a two-year rolling programme, structured as Cycle A and Cycle B, ensuring that our pupils experience a broad and balanced curriculum aligned with the National Curriculum. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) operates on its own tailored one-year curriculum, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning through play-based and exploratory experiences.

To enhance our curriculum delivery, we use KAPOW Primary, a comprehensive resource that helps us craft engaging and dynamic lessons, sparking curiosity and a love for learning across all subjects. At the heart of our curriculum vision is a commitment to nurturing confident, creative, and resilient learners who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. We strive to inspire a sense of wonder, encourage critical thinking, and empower every child to achieve their fullest potential.

Our curriculum map reflects our holistic approach, carefully sequencing knowledge and skills to ensure progression and coherence across year groups. It is designed not only to meet statutory requirements but to celebrate diversity, foster a sense of community, and prepare children for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
