We are so pleased to welcome you and your child to the Acorns Class—a vibrant and nurturing space where curiosity is celebrated, kindness is encouraged, and every child is supported to thrive.

Our class is a wonderful mix of learners from EYFS, Year 1, and Year 2, creating a unique and dynamic learning environment where children learn with and from each other every day.

Together, we work hard to ensure that Acorns is a place where your child feels safe, confident, and inspired. We plan rich and meaningful learning experiences that spark imagination and help every child develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

We believe that learning should be fun, active, and inclusive, and we aim to help each child develop a lifelong love of learning. Through play, exploration, and carefully planned lessons, we support children to reach their full potential in a way that suits their individual learning styles.

📖 Reading at Home

Reading is at the heart of everything we do, and we encourage you to make it a special part of your daily routine at home.

Please take time to read with your child each day, even if it’s just for a few minutes, and record this in their reading record. This helps us keep track of progress and encourages children to become confident, enthusiastic readers.
📚 Books will be changed on Tuesdays and Fridays, so don’t forget to bring book bags in on those days!

🏃‍♀️ PE Information

PE is an exciting part of our week where children get active, learn new skills, and have fun being fit and healthy.

🕘 Please make sure your child comes to school in their PE kit on Thursdays and Fridays.
Don’t forget to dress for the weather—we’ll go outside whenever we can!

💧 Water Bottles

It’s important for children to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Please ensure your child brings a named water bottle to school every day. Bottles will be sent home each evening to be washed and refilled.
