Religious Education & Collective Worship

Why Collective Worship Is Important at Weeton St Michael’s
Collective worship is a cherished and essential part of life at Weeton St Michael’s. Gathering together allows our children to pause, reflect, and grow in their spiritual journey. Through shared stories, prayer, song, and moments of stillness, pupils learn to explore big questions, appreciate Christian values, and develop a sense of belonging within our school community.
These times of togetherness help children flourish—emotionally, socially, and spiritually—by giving them space to wonder, to feel supported, and to connect with something greater than themselves. Collective worship strengthens our identity as a caring, faith-filled school where every child is encouraged to shine.

Questful RE Curriculum
At Weeton St Michael’s, we follow the Questful RE Curriculum to deepen children’s understanding of faith, belief and the world around them. This engaging and exploratory approach encourages pupils to ask big questions, think deeply, and develop respect for different religions and worldviews.
Questful RE helps us create meaningful, reflective learning experiences that support children’s spiritual, moral and cultural development. It enriches our teaching and ensures that RE is vibrant, inclusive and rooted in our Christian ethos.
Our Long-Term Plan for RE can be found on the RE subject page, showing how pupils’ knowledge and understanding grow throughout their learning journey.
