Oak Class consists of Year 5 and 6. Our aim is to provide an inclusive, challenging and supportive learning environment for all children.

Reading

Children are encouraged to read daily and reading records are checked every Friday to ensure this is taking place. Children are welcome to change their books whenever they have finished that book. Children are also encouraged to take a book home to read for pleasure.

We are delighted that our new library is available in the hall. The children can choose a book each week to take home. We will be visiting the library on a Thursday. 

Spellings – Ready Steady Spell spellings will be sent home every Friday and be tested the following Friday. Children will need to bring their red spelling book every Friday for the test. 

PE

Children can wear PE kit on a Monday and Friday. Please ensure that school PE kit is worn

At Home 

Children are encouraged to go on TT Rockstars where they can compete against others for their timestables.
